OUR HISTORY
In 2006 several like-minded Chinese Migrant from Guangxi Province founded the New Zealand Guangxi Association out of cultural nostalgia. The organization was established to provides means of social connection for fellow hometown migrants from Guangxi, so that members can form a network of support to assist their migrant life. In order to serve our growing Guangxi Migrant community in New Zealand, NZGX makes efforts to honour the Chinese heritage roots whilst celebrating kiwi lifestyle. Since inception, NZGXA has been heavily involved in promoting life-enhancing activities in local communities throughout New Zealand and internationally. With over 600 members, the association today plays a key role in facilitating Chinese Migrant community in areas including settlement, health & fitness, education, arts & culture.
