VISION AND GOALS
Our organization hopes to serve the Chinese and Asian migrant community in New Zealand with meaningful activities and programs that can enhance participation and emotional resilience, promote wellbeing, and facilitate migration settlement. Hence we have been organizing activities and events for over a decade to serve our community and we are glad to have contributed to positive change as we see our members bettering in their new migration lives, and to see our member base grow over the decade. We would like to continue this positivity to better serve our ever-growing member base.
Over the years we have seen our activities bring joy and comfort to our community, especially for elderly, stay-home mothers, non-English speaking family members as they experience more anxiety from isolation and cultural nostalgia. Joining our programs provided them a new sense of purpose to engage back and contribute to the community, while also reconnecting with hometown fellows. Our members enjoy greater community participation, and better inclusion. The network our members develop help strengthen their resilience and those who are vulnerable (elderly, stay home family members, single parents) feel safer and less isolated.
