2020 kicked off to a rough start, with an unprecedented pandemic sweeping across the globe. At the onset of this pandemic in February, NZGXA noticed the shortage of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) for front line healthcare workers in China, where the virus is believed to have originated.
On February 3rd 2020 New Zealand Guangxi Association initiated a Donation Campaign to support healthcare workers in China. From ages 5 to 80+, the level of support received across all ages was overwhelming.
Our organization received over NZD10,000 in donation from 200 kind donors. All proceeds were used towards purchases of medical grade PPE.

All PPE are individually packaged to avoid any contamination. Purchases were consulted by healthcare professionals to be deemed as safe and adequate for the purpose of Level 3 bio-hazard.
Volunteers helped to package all equipment to be freight.
Donated PPE's were safely air transported to hospital in China thanks to the support and partnership of China Southern Airlines and AION Cargo.
